What is an e-challan?

An e-challan is a digital record of a traffic violation. It identifies the vehicle, describes the recorded offence and shows the amount and status associated with the challan.

Search your registration number to bring the available records together. Vehicle Details helps you review the details and provides a link to the official portal for the next step.

Frequently asked questions

A few useful answers before you search.

How can I check challans for my vehicle?

Enter your registration number above and select Get challan details. The report groups available records by status and shows the latest dated records first.

Can I pay a challan on Vehicle Details?

Vehicle Details provides a lookup and links to the official e-challan portal. Payments and receipts are handled by the portal or the relevant issuing authority.

What if I think a challan is incorrect?

Compare the vehicle number, date, location and offence with your own records. Use the grievance or contact options on the issuing authority’s official portal to ask for a review.

Why is a recent payment still shown as pending?

The record available to the lookup may not yet reflect a recent update. Check your receipt and confirm the current status with the portal where you paid.

What does no record found mean?

It means a challan record could not be retrieved for that search. Recheck the registration number and verify on the official portal if you need confirmation.
